Legal Notice for Changer

1. Scope of Application

These legal notices govern the use of the online platform changer.ch by the user. Changer provides a service to simplify the process of switching health insurance (basic insurance) in Switzerland. By using the platform, the user accepts these notices in their current version.

2. Description of Services

2.1 Basic Insurance

Changer offers users the ability to switch their mandatory basic health insurance in Switzerland according to the Health Insurance Act (KVG). The application is submitted via the platform, but the final contract is only concluded upon acceptance by the insurance company.

2.2 Supplementary Insurance

For supplementary insurance, Changer provides a platform through which contact is made with independent partners registered with FINMA. These partners offer support in selecting and concluding supplementary insurance. Changer does not provide recommendations or directly conclude supplementary insurance contracts.

3. Information to Users

By using the changer.ch website, users agree that changer.ch may occasionally send them further information about services. Users can notify changer.ch via email at any time if they no longer wish to receive such information.

4. Disclaimer of Liability

The operators of changer.ch are not liable for direct or indirect damages or losses resulting from the use of the website changer.ch. This includes errors, delays, or interruptions in the operation of the website, as well as the accuracy of the transmitted data and information. The operator of changer.ch also disclaims any liability for third-party content (e.g., opinions, comments, reviews) as well as for links and references to third-party websites. The use of such content or links is at the user’s own risk.

5. Contract Conclusion

The contract for basic insurance is concluded directly between the user and the insurance company. Changer generates the application, as well as any necessary cancellation, on behalf of the user and transmits it to the respective insurance company. Changer assumes no liability for the acceptance or rejection of the application/cancellation by the insurance company.
For supplementary insurance, Changer merely provides a platform through which contact is made with the relevant partners. The contract is concluded solely between the user and the respective partner.

6. Jurisdiction & Applicable Law

The place of jurisdiction is Zurich. Swiss law applies.

7. User Obligations

The user agrees to provide all required information truthfully and completely. Changer assumes no liability for damages resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the user.

8. Changes to the Legal Notice

Changer reserves the right to adjust or amend this legal notice at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to users in a timely manner. Continued use of the platform after such changes are made will be considered acceptance of the amended conditions.

9. Final Provisions

If any provision of this legal notice is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the economic purpose of the invalid provision.

10. Costs

For the use of the services provided by changer.ch in connection with the change of mandatory basic health insurance, a fixed fee of 10 CHF use shall be charged. The fee shall be payable irrespective of whether the the application submitted via the platform is accepted or rejected by the insurance company. No entitlement to a refund of the fee shall exist. No further or hidden costs shall apply.
